Oh and one more thing! My firefighter friend came up with another safety tip that I thought was important. He said, "You should have a CO monitor as well, CO is the silent killer (you can't smell it). Tell your readers not to run the car in the garage, cause the CO builds up in there and then creeps into the house everytime the door opens. CO monitors have a memory and store up CO over time. Then usually go off when you'd least expect it."

So there you have it. Congratulations to Lyndsay and to everyone else - STAY SAFE!

Just wanted to comment on the CO monitor. I just had to have my heater replaced due to a couple of cracks in the heat exchanger. The cracks would have leaked gas into our house! We were lucky that it hadn't started leaking yet but a CO monitor is a necessity!! You never know when or if gas is leaking into your house. It's definitely better to be safe than sorry! I will be putting one at the top of my basement steps.
