Another Note on Lands' End Swimwear

So you know, I'm using this to select a random winner. If I had to choose a winner based just on your comments, there is no way I'd be able to choose just one! If I could, I'd give you all free swimsuits!

Some of your comments brought to my attention a couple points I failed to mention in my earlier post. Lands' End does offer more modest suits for your teenage daughters. I'm always amazed at some of the really skimpy suits that are out there today. Lands' End ones are much more classy, in my opinion.

And although, in the past, I've gotten swimsuits at Walmart or Target, I don't think I ever will again. True, they are less money. But for a reason. They're very thin and not as well made as the Lands' End one I got. It's no wonder I have to replace them so frequently. I'm pretty sure this Lands' End will last several years! (Or until I finally lose 50 pounds.) Hey, I can dream!

I so agree about Lands End bathing suits and clothes in general. I so believe in the saying you get what you pay for. You buy cheap clothing and you get cheap clothing. I try really hard with my three girls and one son to make sure they are dressing age appropriately. It can be really hard with the skimpy too mature clothing lines even in the nicer department stores. I am grateful for companies like LE.

Ooooh ooooh! I love Land's End suits and have been buying them for 5 years now. I still have my first one from 2003 and it is in great shape. A tip: you can find great deals on the previous seasons' suits around December on Lands End Overstocks. ~Funjenny

It may very well just be me, but I cannot figure out how to enter the LE contest. I clicked on the word "this", but it brought me to some weird random integer site and I was very confused. I will check back tomorrow when I may or may not have had more sleep, and see if I am crazy. I REALLY need a new suit because I am unfortunately larger than I would like (aren't we all) and have been wearing my maternity swimsuit for a few years now. My youngest just turned 4 last week, so I think I better get a new suit so I don't get the guilt trip from the kids for not swimming with them anymore.

Land's End bathing suits are awesome! Last year I got one and by the end of the summer it had frayed a bit in the chest, so they sent me a new one. The overstocks are my favorite, since I can get one there for about the same price as one that's NOT guaranteed.

I'd love to enter the Lands' End Swimwear giveaway. I'm the gal who is losing weight and I haven't bought (um wanted to see myself) in a swimsuit in at least 9 years. I really need one and hey it's only 1 or 2 compared to 10 or 12 for families, so please, please.

I love the Land's end suits. Perfect for those 40 somethings who just cant wear the teeny tiny numbers available at the store but have not yet graduated to granny suits.

I love Lands End. My kids wear uniforms to school, and there clothes are the only ones I don't end up making shorts out of pants!!
I can so relate to the "hippo in a tutu." Maybe we should go back to the bathing "dresses" they wore in the 20's, of course, I'd probably drown, but I'd be covered.

Love the pic of you and the kids with the white--very nice.

LOVE Lands End bathing suits! They actually fit, and you can just tell from the fabric how much more quality they are. Also, my mom teaches water aerobics, and they are the only suits that don't shred from all the pool time she does!

Hi :O) Just wanted to leave a comment to enter the swimsuit thing.
Although bathingsuits make me feel like shamu trying to put on a tube top & a bandaid....

Maybe I should try the wii fit thing, sounds fun.

Lands End is a great company. I don't believe I've ever regretted a purchase from them. I agree, the end of the season is the best time to get the very best prices!

Loved your "hippo in a tutu" comment. Hit a bit close to home. Glad to hear about the EOY prices at LE. Thanks for the info. Nancy

It is interesting the comments regarding the Lands End swim suits and teenage modesty. I was in Target with my 15 year old daughter this weekend having a modesty conversation. We decided (ok maybe it was me) that Target's swimsuits are NOT modest.

I completely agree about the modesty missing in swimsuits. Like a previous commenter, I think the Target suits are too skimpy! LE does a great job with coverage for everyone.
