I think many of you are aware of the Pokémon cards I placed up for auction on eBay, which in turn, led to the rise in popularity of my blog. Because of that, I thought it apropos that I give away some Pokémon cards here. I was given 3 sets of Pokémon trading cards to give away. Two of these sets are Diamond and Pearl Stormfront/Raging Sea theme decks. One of them is Diamond and Pearl Stormfront/Dark Rampage theme deck.I had to ask my kids who was on the front of these packages because I had no clue. I would have guessed it was Water Dragon Guy with Fangs and Spikey Green Dinosaur Dude. Apparently I'm wrong. It's Gyarados and Tyranitar. I was close. I used to know the names of all the Pokémon. I used to know what they evolved into and all kinds of information about them.

Leave me a comment here for a chance to win one of these Diamond and Pearl Stormfront packs. Each pack contains 60 cards including one holographic foil card, 1 metallic coin, 1 rulebook/card list, 1-player playmat, and damage counters. I'll choose 3 random winners on Sunday, December 14th.
I'm not a fan, but my 5 year old LOVES Pokemon and would go nuts if he got that pack for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI will bite my 17 year old son would love them.
ReplyDeleteWell Dawn, I don't enter very many contests but my older son keeps every single card in these plastic divider thingy-ma-jigs because he says they will be worth money one day. SOOOOO, I'm entering on his behalf;)
ReplyDeleteOh how funny -- I'm the same way with Thomas. Show me a train, and I can tell you all about him (or her). Good to know that someday I'll forget them ;)
ReplyDeleteMy son absolutely loves pokemon. I would love to win these. Thanks Dawn.
ReplyDeleteI swear, I'm into Pokemon as much as if not more than my kids. It started with the first booster packs that I bought for them retail. Talk about sticker shock. I said "Let me see what I can get these for on eBay" and my addiction to buying mixed large lots started. If the kids did all their checklist items each day they would earn 3 cards per night BUT they lose a card for each bedtime thing they didn't do in a timely manner (teeth, privates, pajamas). I own the whole Topps collection of Pokemon cards that I don't share with the kids (who do I think I'm going to trade these with?!). Now we also collect the action figures (thanks again eBay), because you really do Gotta Catch 'Em All!
ReplyDeleteMy 8 yr. old collects these and keeps them in plastic dividers in a binder so hope your number thingy picks my number =)
ReplyDeleteI used to play with these when I was little. Now my little brother plays with them. It would be a perfect Christmas gift! PICK ME...please.

I have been doing my xmas shopping via craigslist (lost my job) and I can only find people selling Pokemon cards in like 300cnt batches...wayyyy too expense. Plus I'm not sure if kids are actually giving my son some Pokemon cards, or if he's politely stealing them, but the kid needs his own set! Please help Dawn!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe I actually know quite a few Pokemon. The good thing about it is that my 10 year old son didn't like to read until he found the manuals that list each Pokemon. Now he reads it all the time and I am learning WAY more than I ever wanted to know about the little creatures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! My 11 yo son loves Pokemon, but we just don't have the money to get him any cards.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
Bailey would love the Pokeman cards. I remember your ebay post about the pokeman cards. I was at the hospital with Bay and somebody had sent it to me thinking that I would like it. I did and I laughed a lot while I was reading it. It reminded me of my life and how crazy it could be. Granted I only have 3 kids so really it should only be half as crazy as yours.
ReplyDeleteMy 7 year old would be so excited to get these in his stocking. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy 5 yo son would love these! Pick me!
ReplyDeleteOne of my boys would LOVE these this year. Money is super tight (as it is for everyone) and the stockings are going to be mighty thin this year.

ReplyDeleteMy son asked for these for Christmas, what a wonderful suprise that would be. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteKim Fissette
I actually don't let my boys watch Pokemon. I know, I'm THAT mom. They do enjoy trading the cards with their friends, though. It is their only link to the outside world that is Pokemon. They're so deprived. Not really. They would love these cards!!!
ReplyDeleteSo I went through this with my first child who is now 16 and now my 6 year old wants to collect them, I would love to win this for him!!!
ReplyDeleteMy son still loves pokemon and these would make a great surprise for him!
ReplyDeleteGotta try to win 'em!
ReplyDeleteMy 11 yr old loves these and and they are on his Christmas list.
ReplyDeleteMy son LOVES Pokemon!! These would be great stocking stuffers.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping the Pokemon craze would subside before my kids were old enough to care, but I guess it's here to stay for a while. That's why my life savings sits in a binder full of cards in my 6-year-old son's room.
ReplyDeleteOh my...my oldest has become obsessed with Pokemon cards and we have never even bought him any...yet he has acquired a bunch because some of his friends gave him some and then he started trading them on the bus. I keep waiting for the calls from the other Moms saying their children have realized they made some crazy trades (10 cards for 1, etc.). We jokingly say our son is part of the Pokemon Mafia...apparently he is very persuasive! And when he waves them in my face telling me who they are, my eyes tend to glaze over. I call them the PokaMommy's Eyes Out cards! He would love to receive new cards in the package since I won't buy him any!
