It's Mud Season!

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Arm & Hammer.

Yay, it's spring in Chicago! You know what that means? Mud. Lots and lots of mud. The giant glaciers have finally melted and we're left with a big ole boggy mud pit. The weather is warm and my kids are itching to go out and play.

I look at my kids who are behaving like animals that have been caged since November. I glance out the window at my mucky, muddy backyard. I look back at my kids who are hitting each other with the remote control and gnawing on the couch. The decision is obvious.

"GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY!" I bellow. I know they'll come inside looking like they've spent the afternoon wrestling in a mud pit, but I don't even care about the ruined clothes I'll have to throw away. I need a break for crying out loud! The kids need fresh air!

Have at it, kids!

Jackson's pants are so encrusted with dried mud, they could stand on their own.

I have no clue how the hood of Brooklyn's sweatshirt got muddy. Maybe she was lying in the yard making mud angels.

Filthy

And here's Clay's shirt. Clay wiped his ketchup-mouth on his shirt. Clay doesn't know the difference between his shirt and a napkin.

Arm & Hammer with Oxi Clean to the rescue!

This stuff is thick! It's a thick, dirt-busting gel, and it works! I LOVE Oxi Clean and haven't found anything better to get my kids' clothes clean. And, believe me, with six kids, I'm a laundry expert! I do four loads of laundry a day, every day just to keep up! Plus, Arm & Hammer with Oxi Clean Power Gel has a fresh, clean scent (for those of us who buy things based on fragrance.)

Check it out!

Oh, it IS pink!

Nice and clean

Even Clay's napkin shirt is clean!

I don't have to throw out their clothes after all. I can't wait for baseball season! Bring on the sand and grass stains!

I was wondering if you could use it with the HE machines. I looked at in the store and it didnt look like it would work. I would love to be able to use it if it did work with HE.

I bought some A&H soap this week, but I think I bought the wrong kind. It isn't gel but it is A&H with Oxi clean. My husband had a mustard stain on a light blue shirt that we'd been working on for a couple days, and after pretreating (soaking instructions on the bottle) and washing with this stuff it came right out!

I could really use $200.00!

I ran out and bought this the very next time I was at the store and YOUR RIGHT! This was an awesome product. My DH works in a factory and sometimes comes home with his pants looking very much like your DS's! I can't believe how clean it got the pants and even his old, dingy white work t-shirts!
Thank you for posting reviews about such great products. I honestly believe yours (a down-to-earth mom with no huge hidden motives)before I will believe ones like Consumer Reports. I guess it's a psychological thing because I can identify and relate to you. :)
Thanks again - and keep up the great reviews!!

Well my mother in law has a 106 acre farm.Well my husband, son and daughter love to take their red Honda three-wheeler and dirt bikes thru the mud and swamps. Of course, to them-the muddier it is-the more "fun" ;) which makes for horrendously muddy clothes :

I've recently started a garden and digging in the dirt can make some serious stains. Add to that that the dog likes to "help" by digging in the dirt, getting nice and muddy, then jumping on me!

Awesome giveaway/review! There are so many stains! haha But one of my biggest is just plain dirt! I am always working in my gardens, both flower and veggie/fruit, and our earth here is like clay orange and just stains everything!

My son has special needs and has limited feeling in his mouth. This leads to incredibly messy eating and even more incredible messes on his clothing, and tableclothes, and napkins, and anything in the near vicinity! I could definately use this!

Wow! I cant believe how with it made that shirt. I could use it for the grass stains and spaghetti sauces which are almost impossible to get out.

My biggest problem right now is my son's baseball practices. He loves to slide into base, and his uniform gets filthy.
