I was given the chance to try this Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-A-Clean shower cleaner. Unfortunately, it didn't come with someone to do the cleaning for me. Hey, I can dream, can't I?
So I tried it. I have mixed feelings about this cleaner. First, it comes with a continuous spray trigger that operates on batteries. I personally didn't think this was necessary. I've never gotten a hand cramp from spraying cleaner in my shower. I don't need a bottle of cleaner that has batteries, enabling you to squeeze the trigger and spray continuously until you release the trigger. But if you like that kind of thing, refills are available so you can refill the bottle and replace the batteries as necessary, indefinately.
One of the cool things is that it smells good. I cannot stand the smell of most cleaners (especially bleach ones which burn my eyes and nose), but this one was surprisingly pleasant. It foams up pretty well too. And it did a good job of cleaning the glass and chrome areas of my shower. Here's the "before", soap scum encrusted picture. Well, the picture isn't soap scum encrusted. My shower wall is. You know what I mean.
Here's the "after" picture. In fact, this picture was taken 3 days and probably 12-14 showers later. The idea of this cleaner is that it continues to work for 4 days, keeping your shower surfaces free from soap scum so you have to clean less. I think it really does work quite well on glass surfaces. (the picture doesn't do it justice)
On the walls and floors of my shower, it didn't do such a great job. Then again, I have a very cheap shower made of a very thin plastic and that may have something to do with it because nothing, quite frankly, cleans the walls and floors too well.
But I do like how this Extend-A-Clean creates a barrier on your shower surfaces, keeping them clean for days. The less time I have to spend cleaning, the better, in my book. Really, all of us busy parents could use products that would enable us to spend less time cleaning. I personally think the best way to do that would be strapping the kids into little LaZBoys with 5-point harnesses so they couldn't destroy the house faster than we could clean it. But good bathroom cleaners help too!

And to help minimize your morning madness of packing lunches, signing homework, getting the kids up and dressed, making coffee, reminding the kids 50 times to pack their backpacks and remember their instruments and put on their shoes and stop hitting their sisters and, well, you get the idea. In between all that, it's hard to find time to even take a shower let alone clean a shower! So Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-A-Clean Power Sprayer has a Minimize Morning Madness gift basket for one lucky reader. Included in the gift basket is a bottle of Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-A-Clean Power Sprayer, a travel alarm clock, a big coffee mug, Starbucks Via, and a waterproof notepad! Just leave me a comment here about what would make cleaning easier for you and I'll pick a random winner on Friday, April 23. Contest open to U.S. residents. No purchase necessary to enter.
I was given a gift basket to try the product, but have not been paid to write about it. As always, my opinions are my own and they're always honest.

oh boy oh boy! a maid would make cleaning so much easier!
A waterproof notepad?! Less shower cleaning?! Sign me up!! :)
I think someone to watch my children would make cleaning easier for me. :) other than that, more time in the day...?
haha Exactly what I was going to say. Can I just have a maid? That would make cleaning SO much easier!
Well, aside from a housekeeper, it would be so much easier if my children actually HELPED! ;)
I could use a little help taming my morning madness!
So you set the alarm clock, spray the stuff in the shower, and when the alarm goes off you give yourself a coffee break? Sounds good to me...
A robot would make my cleaning jobs much easier. I could just program it and step back and watch in amazement!
Hmmm.... I find a quick squeegee of the shower doors when I shower (no one else does it) keeps the soap scum down. But I love the idea of not having to do that either.
I need a maid!
A maid! A maid! That would make cleaning easier!
Other than the obvious "a maid," "neater children," "self-cleaning appliances," etc., I would love something to easily clean my laminate flooring. My 4 kids are all 5 and under so there are SO MANY fingerprints, etc. that show up easily on the floor (one is a crawler). I have yet to find a good system to clean it and it takes a long time to do it with what I HAVE tried. So a good way to clean those would make cleaning easier for me!
um, a maid would make cleaning easier? a cleaner that does the scrubbing? which leads me to, did you have to scrub the shower? or just rinse it off after it sat for a while?
I would like to try it!
Less cleaning? Huh? Is that possible with kids? I'm in!
To make my cleaning easier would be to have someone else do it for me. I dont really care who, just anyone! If that is not an option then more hours in the day would help. Carissa - Aurora, OR
A maid would be wonderful ... but that won't happen here!
Cleaning would be a tad bit easier if I had more hours in the day :)
LOL a magic wand would make cleaning easier. Just a quick wave and POOF everything in its place and neatly organized. :D
I used it to clean my cheap shower. I sprayed it and left it for a hour or so, (I sorta forgot about it) and my shower has never been that clean. EVER! I love this stuff.
Aside from a maid (which seems to be the most popular answer here...), I'd have to say a product that can get in the grooves of my hardwood floors.
Man, they're beautiful when clean, but getting them clean is a chore!
Thanks for a great giveaway...

Oooh! I'd love to try that....anything to make it easier to clean my shower/tub. I HATE cleaning those BOTH.
I think the waterproof notepad is brilliant! The shower is the one place where I am (usually) uninterrupted and I always think of things that need to be done or bought. But I step out of the shower, someone needs something, and my thoughts disappear.
I keep thinking that a hand mitt with cleaner would be helpful, so I could scrub while in the shower. Kind of like those Dawn disposable dish washing thingys. only with bathroom cleaner...
A good looking cleaning stud. I would love to watch a man clean good for me. Tammy A
I always need all the help I can get! And I can't handle certain cleaners as I get instant asthma attacks so maybe this one would work well for me.
Love to get your neat basket of goodies.
Donna from NE Indiana
anything that keeps my shower cleaner is great!
Someone else to do my cleaning for me would make it much easier for me! LOL! What a great basket! :)
Why I desperately need this: one bathroom - me, a husband and four boys ranging in age from 21 to 13. Enough said.
Cleaning easier? Not having to do it! Or getting my husband to do it. It would make it a lot easier if someone would take my kids for half a day and I could get it all done without interruptions or them messing up one room as I finish it.
This would be awesome! I have been trying to teach my kids how to clean the bathrooms but because they are so little (6&8) -ok not little but, dare I say lazy- they dont always do a real good job... go figure! As a result I have to go behind and clean in between times!

Let's see...make cleaning easier...a non-stick (teflon) coated bathroom! Really, just hose it down and you are done! Hmmmm, need to think about that for my kitchen, too!
I like to use the Mr. Clean magic erasers in my shower- BUT they fall apart super easy! I need something tougher! and I will try anything once!
Thanks!!

Just bought a bottle of this because of the $3 coupon and I like scrubbing bubbles. Haven't tried it yet though.
A housekeeper would be awesome, but...that's not gonna happen. So, I am decluttering the house and getting rid of stuff that requires dusting. This plan is gonna work eventually.
looks good to me!
easier cleaning? Kids that didn't thinksmooshing a banana into the carpet was more fun than eating it for breakfast.
more time in the day and days in the week would make cleaning a lot easier
I try to follow the flylady.net system. Which means I TECHNICALLY should never have to actually scrub my shower. Ahem. I could use this product!
this would be a great thing.
this would be a great thing.
I am willing to try just about anything to help make cleaning the bathroom easier! :-)
Having someone there to do the cleaning. I'ms always open to trying new products though.
A maid would make my life so much easier...Sigh...
(I'm excited to think I could stand in my superclean shower and write notes!)

a self cleaning toilet would make cleaning easier, thats the chore that I hate most, and/ or a maid.
lexi_duckie(at)yahoo(dot)com
I've been wanting to try this stuff... I hate cleaning the bathroom, so anything that would keep it cleaner longer sounds awesome to me!
With 4 kid and not enough time in the day this would come in sooo handy. I love it already! Thanks Dawn!
Ummm if I was single and had no kids would make it so much easier but then I would not be happy. 5 kids and a sloppy hubby means lots of work for me..

Kids that put things where they go would be great! but until then I'd like to try anything that makes cleaning easier!
New toilets! Who wants to scrub old full toilets clean? Not me!
I'm thinking a maid. That would be incredibly helpful with two very busy toddlers running around :)
I'm not sure clean and easy belong in the same sentence, but I'm sure this product would make my shower smell nicer.

Of all the chores I hate, cleaning the toilet is the worst, and I don't even have boys! I can put in the "drop-ins" because they get stuck in the water supply and the toilet will run constantly. So I would like something like this product meant for the toilet!
How about somebody coming out with soap that doesn't leave any soap scum on the walls & floor!? I'd love to try this product.
Skip the batteries in the trigger and send the maid! :) The gift basket looks fun.
Sounds like a great product!
I keep buying vacuum cleaners hoping I will find one that I like but unfortunately they all seems to need a person to actually push them. And I would hope for some cleaning products that do the work themselves, but I guess human power is necessary here, too. BUT a shower cleaner that works for a few days all by itself seems almost too good to be true. I would love to win.
I want to try ANYTHING that would keep me from having to scrub our only tub all the time. I am the only woman in a house of guys, and it gets filthy!
Cleaning would be easier if I had someone else to do it for me! I'd love to try this product.....I saw it at the store the other day and almost bought it but didn't. Now I really want to try it!

yep the 5 point harness recliner would make cleaning easier for me with a 3 and 1yr old!
Laura A (lala8703@yahoo.com)
I could really use this, and I like their products. No more hand cramps!
well i suppose if i had a gift basket of cleaning stuff i would clean more? maybe??? thanks dawn..love the blog!! yea!!
Will it work on a bathroom floor, around the toilet - my 3 boys don't have such great aim :)
I've always loved the scrubbing bubbles, and would love to try this product!
I would like a full time maid, but I guess then I wouldn't get all my exercise from cleaning! I need something to help with mopping. That's it, mopping.
You coming to clean for me would make cleaning easier. I would really love to try this product!
A maid or a nanny would make cleaning easier for me.
A maid would be best, but this new product might help!

I could use some help in the cleaning department!
what would make cleaning easier? less kids-oh no?
neater kids?
kids who do the cleaning themselves?
okay, I'll go with some free time to clean while kids don't make any other messes at the same time.
If I didn't live here it would make cleaning much easier... I cannot totally blame the kids, I think I leave a trail behind me too. I love the waterproof to-do list... I probably think of more things to do while in the shower. :)
I have a shower that is very hard to clean for some reason. That or I have very hard water. I've tried several products that do not work well. Maybe i'll win this one and fall in love!
What a great little basket of goodies!
Having tiles in the shower, I can see the battery-operated sprayer coming in handy.
I have tried this stuff before and yes I agree that it doesnt smell bad at all. I also like the fact that it really does last through many, many showers.
A fairy does not dance around my house and clean, so I would love to try this!
Thank you!
A maid.... and someone to watch the kids... and a magic wand. Or just a whole lot of wine so I don't care that I'm living in a dirty house.
Oh... this sounds so good.. I'd love to try it. Anything which makes my bathrooms sparkle and sanitise without the maid is two thumbs up!!!!
Not having to clean would make cleaning easier for me, lol!
the extend a clean sounds good to me.
A housekeeper :)
I too would like a house cleaning fairy. thanks!
Anything to decrease the amount of cleaning is a-ok in my book.
Spring Cleaning!
Looks fabulous!
