We invited some friends and made a night of it a few weeks back. I looooove me some Sonic! I'm pretty sure I could live on their strawberry limeades and tots. They've got yummy real ice cream, not the fake stuff that some places serve. Four words - coconut cream pie shake! I know! And don't forget about their root beer floats! Nothing says summer like a good old-fashioned root beer float. And the best part about having an ice cream social at Sonic is - you don't have to clean your house and backyard and there are no sticky ice cream messes to clean up afterwards. Yep, that's me, always thinking.

I love the banana splits from Sonic! I love it even more when it is a Jr. sized one. Just enough yum to satisfy, but not enough calories to add too many lbs to my hips.

I love their blue coconut slush!! Here in Oregon if you go between 2-4 you get all drinks and slushes 1/2 off.... I was so glad when Sonic came to Oregon:)

I like pretty much any ice cream that doesn't have fruit or nuts in it. Right now, my favorite is neapolitan, but the strawberry has to have a really fake strawberry flavor, like the taste of a fast food strawberry shake!

My favorite at Sonic is the one where it is orange slush mixed with their ice cream. I can't believe I don't remember the name of it, but it is so good I could have one every day.

A classic sundae-vanilla ice cream (slightly melted), hot fudge, whip cream, nuts and a cherry. Oh my!!! Just thinking of it means I have to run an extra mile.
Reeces Peanut Butter Cups blast with extra reeces and extra whipped cream. I don't even want to think about the calories when I eat this (at least once a week!).
Anything with chocolate, peanut butter, and reeses cups is a BIG hit at our house! Sonic Rocks!

I tend to order the freezes at Sonic. My lactose issues keep me from enjoying ice cream in quantity :-( But that coconut cream pie creation you mention sounds like it might be worth it.
